Tell your team in Slack or Teams

One action posts to whichever team chat you connected. It runs in your own workspace with your own app; nothing is installed by us.

Slack

  • Create a Slack app in your workspace with the bot scopes chat:write and files:write, install it, and put the bot token in SLACK_BOT_TOKEN. Invite the bot to your channels.
  • Optional slash command /say pointing to https://YOUR-AGENT/slack/command with the signing secret in SLACK_SIGNING_SECRET: /say order_ready +16465550123 texts that customer the pack's “your order is ready” line.
  • Slack requests are checked with Slack's signature before anything runs.

Microsoft Teams

In the channel choose Workflows and “Post to a channel when a webhook request is received”, then put the URL in teams.webhook_url.

One action for both

{"action": "notify", "text": "Customer {{customer.name}} needs a person: {{sms.body}}"}

If both are connected it posts to both; if only one is, to that one. Workflows can also report what really happened to an earlier text: Text to {{customer.name}}: {{last.sms}} shows sent, blocked (with the reason), skipped or error.

Honest limits

  • Teams support posts messages; it does not read replies.
  • Audio clips are uploaded to Slack only when a workflow asks for it.
