Connect the Speakvora MCP server to Claude Code and Cursor
Add the remote server, pass your key as a header, and let an assistant speak text and search the phrase library.
Speakvora runs a Model Context Protocol server over streamable HTTP at https://speakvora.com/api/mcp. Three tools: speak, list_voices and search_phrases. It answers initialize and tools/list without a key; running a tool needs your API key.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http speakvora https://speakvora.com/api/mcp --header "x-api-key: YOUR_KEY"Cursor and other clients that read mcp.json

"mcpServers": {
"speakvora": {
"url": "https://speakvora.com/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"x-api-key": "YOUR_KEY"
}
}
}
}Try it
- "List the Speakvora voices."
- "Search Speakvora for waiting-room phrases and give me the three shortest."
- "Speak 'Your table is ready' with a female voice." (returns an audio link)
Notes
- Client setup differs between tools; check yours for how it stores HTTP servers and headers.
- Calls from an assistant are billed like API calls: per character, free allowance first.
- Do not paste your key into a config file that is checked in.
