Speakvora vs Fish Audio

Fish Audio bills by UTF-8 bytes, which equals characters for plain English but costs more for other scripts. Speakvora bills plain characters.

What the same job costs

Text to speech billed per character, at list price. Fish Audio charges $15.00 to $15.00 per million characters; Speakvora catalog voices are $0.70, which is 95% to 95% less for the same number of characters. Different models, so this compares cost, not voice quality.

Short answer. Pick Fish Audio if its expressive s2 models are what you want. Pick Speakvora if you need the lowest per-character price, a ready-made phrase library, or a simple own-voice API.

The price, read carefully

Fish Audio's page lists s2.1-pro at $15 per million UTF-8 bytes. For English that is about $15 per million characters; for scripts such as Chinese, Japanese or Hindi each character takes several bytes, so the cost per character rises. Speakvora's catalog voices are $0.70 per million characters and your own voice is $6.

Other listed Fish Audio prices: voice design $0.01 per request and speech to text $0.36 per hour (about $0.006 per minute against Speakvora's $0.0015). The page we read does not list a separate price for voice cloning.
