A voice agent that books and collects the deposit
Short answer: Put your own payment link (for example a Stripe Payment Link) on a service. After booking, the caller gets it with their confirmation code, and the agent says the deposit is paid only after your system confirms it. We never see card numbers.
What it does
- Adds the booking code to your payment link so you can match the payment.
- Says the deposit is due, and says it is paid only after your system calls the paid endpoint.
- In Stripe test mode, creates a test checkout and marks the booking paid by itself when Stripe says the test payment completed.
- Checks the amount: a payment for a different amount is not accepted.
How you set it up
- Add a payment_link and deposit_usd to a service.
- When your payment system sees the payment, call POST /v1/appointments/{code}/paid with your API key.
- Or, to try it with fake money, set deposits to stripe_test in a development account.

Front-desk agents are $12 per 1,000 turns (a turn is one caller question and one spoken answer); basic agents are $10 per 1,000. At 3 to 4 turns a minute that is roughly $0.04 to $0.05 a minute (an estimate, not a measurement). The first 200 turns are free. Background office sounds are free.
Honest limits
- Turn by turn, not live streaming: expect a pause of a few seconds after the caller stops talking (shorter while our GPU lane is serving).
- No inbound phone numbers and no texting yet; confirmations go by email and to your own system by signed webhook.
- The agent only gathers and passes on information. It cannot change, refund, charge or delete anything in your systems, and it says it is an automated assistant.
- Speakvora does not sign HIPAA business associate agreements. If you handle protected health information, your own endpoint decides what is returned and you are responsible for it.
Questions
Does Speakvora take the money?
No. Your payment link takes it. In test mode only, we create a Stripe test checkout so you can see the whole flow with fake cards.
What if the caller never pays?
The booking stays pending, and the agent says the deposit is due; nothing is charged by the agent.
