A doctor's office voice agent that runs the front desk

Short answer: Books, moves and cancels visits, passes on refill and callback requests, and takes messages for the nurse, with no medical advice and an emergency redirect built in.

What it does

  • Books and moves office and new-patient visits, and frees the calendar when someone cancels.
  • Passes on refill and callback requests to your team without promising an outcome.
  • Takes a message for the nurse or doctor.
  • Declines medical questions and sends emergencies to 911.

How you set it up

  1. Start from the doctor's office template.
  2. Set hours and visit types; add status_url if you want status lookups.
  3. Publish and test.

Price

Front-desk agents are $12 per 1,000 turns (a turn is one caller question and one spoken answer); basic agents are $10 per 1,000. At 3 to 4 turns a minute that is roughly $0.04 to $0.05 a minute (an estimate, not a measurement). The first 200 turns are free. Background office sounds are free.

Honest limits

  • Turn by turn, not live streaming: expect a pause of a few seconds after the caller stops talking (shorter while our GPU lane is serving).
  • No inbound phone numbers and no texting yet; confirmations go by email and to your own system by signed webhook.
  • The agent only gathers and passes on information. It cannot change, refund, charge or delete anything in your systems, and it says it is an automated assistant.
  • Speakvora does not sign HIPAA business associate agreements. If you handle protected health information, your own endpoint decides what is returned and you are responsible for it.

Questions

Can it see patient charts?

No. It only knows the facts, hours and availability you give it, plus what your own endpoint returns after verification.

Can patients cancel by phone?

Yes, with the confirmation code and the last four digits of their phone number, or by their full phone number if they lost the code.
