Voice agent pricing: per turn against per minute

Short answer: Speakvora bills a turn (one question and one answer): $10 per 1,000, or $12 per 1,000 for front-desk agents that book appointments. Other platforms list a price per minute. Converted at a rough 3 to 4 turns a minute, Speakvora is lower per minute, but the comparison is not like for like.

Why it is not like for like

  • Per-minute prices are billed on connection time; a turn is only billed when someone speaks. The conversion above assumes 3 to 4 turns a minute, which is an assumption, not a measurement.
  • The other three include live streaming conversation and phone connectivity (Cartesia lists phone numbers as an extra). Speakvora agents are turn-based and have no phone numbers yet.
  • What each platform includes inside its per-minute rate (language model, speech, telephony) differs, so check each official page before you compare totals.
  • Speakvora's front-desk agent includes appointment booking, status lookups, deposit links and templates in the turn price.

Honest limits

  • Turn by turn, not live streaming: expect a pause of a few seconds after the caller stops talking (shorter while our GPU lane is serving).
  • No inbound phone numbers and no texting yet; confirmations go by email and to your own system by signed webhook.
  • The agent only gathers and passes on information. It cannot change, refund, charge or delete anything in your systems, and it says it is an automated assistant.
  • Speakvora does not sign HIPAA business associate agreements. If you handle protected health information, your own endpoint decides what is returned and you are responsible for it.

The monthly price check re-reads each official page and marks any price it cannot find for review.
